Family Fun Day with Crow Leisure Group

This post is based on a visit in April 2024.

Locations may vary but this will give you an idea of what to expect from this event company.

Who went? Me (Charlotte) my husband (Stef) and the boys (Kam,7 and Leo, 22 months).

It started at 12pm and it was on until 9pm this evening.

We arrived around 1:15pm and left around 4pm. My sister (Emma) also met us there for a bit with her partner (Chris) and their two kids, Sophia (4) and Harvey (2).

INCLUDED ENTERTAINMENT WITH ENTRY;

šŸ¦–The dinosaur meet and greet and the bubble man were a huge hit with our kids and many others it seemed. It was great that this was included with the entry. They were interactive with the kids giving them chance to enjoy it and for the adults to get some photos. And we spotted them a good few times too, some places with characters like this itā€™s hard to see them.

šŸ¦–We didnā€™t see Spider-Man and Barbie, they were near the entrance just before we left when we had sat down to eat. Our two werenā€™t that fussed though so we didnā€™t go looking too much for them (Kam used to love Spider-Man! Can tell heā€™s growing up šŸ„ŗ)

RIDES AND FAIRGROUND STALLS;

šŸ¦–Me and Kam went in the crazy fun house, Stef and Kam went on the ghost train ride and the boys went some of the toddler rides together and the giant inflatable slide.

šŸ¦–Sophia won a giant donut toy on one of the stalls. Ā£5 a go. A fair chance to win and decent prizes my sister said.

šŸ¦–The boys had a go at the dinosaur lucky dip to pick a dinosaur soft toy, Ā£2.50 each I didnā€™t think this was bad at all.

šŸ¦–Some rides had card machines but I would recommend still bringing some cash.

ACCESSIBILITY;

šŸ¦–Accessibility wise this particular venue wasnā€™t ideal (based on Stefā€™s experience) The ground was uneven and stoney, not suitable for those with mobility issues really unless in an all terrain mobility scooter/wheelchair. I did see some wheelchair users and they seemed to manage ok, but just something to be mindful (the venues vary with these events).

šŸ¦–They had onsite portaloo toilets including a disabled toilet/baby changing.

šŸ¦–Car parking was onsite but a bit difficult still for those with mobility issues. The parking steward did try getting us as close as possible and was really helpful with this. They also prioritised us getting in to the fair area, when they saw Stef with his crutches as there was a bit of a queue. So great customer service and attentiveness for this.

BOOKING COST;

šŸ¦–Booking online for this particular event it was its Ā£3 entry plus a small booking fee (74p). This included Ā£10 discount rides vouchers but you can only use 1 x 50p discount voucher per ride. Rides were Ā£3-Ā£3.50, so to use all 10 discount vouchers you would need to go on 10 rides costing Ā£25-30. I did enquiry about this with Crow Leisure after our visit and the offers vary depending on event and location.

šŸ¦–Dinosaurs, bubble man, a party boppers entertainer, Spider-Man and Barbie meet and greet were included with the entry cost. Itā€™s seems to be standard for some free entertainment to be included with their entry itā€™ll just vary depending on the event.

FOOD AND DRINK;

šŸ¦–The food and drinks options were pretty good in terms of variety and price wise they were standard, I didnā€™t think overly priced. We had already had lunch but bought some cheese chips Ā£4 and sweet treats Ā£3 each roughly, which were nice and fresh enough. There wasnā€™t enough seating though at this event, only for one of the food suppliers. This may be something to check prior to visiting an event if you need to be able to sit at times to rest/for mobility.

SUMMARY;

šŸ¦–If you make the most of the experiences included with your entry, dinosaur meet and greet, bubble man and other characters then I would say itā€™s a good few hours out. There were lots of fun rides and fairground games etc and even some for the older kids which was good to see. Just make sure you have extra cash for these.

šŸ¦–Iā€™m sure your kids will love these events if they like rides, including inflatable and fairground stall options too for the younger ones.
