Little Dino’s Softplay at Arcadia Garden Centre, Middlesbrough

Updated: Sep 20

📍Stokesley Road, Newby, Middlesbrough, TS80AN.

Based on our visit in November 2023

A nice little softplay more suited for under 5s I would say, where you can also get some decent food (even though recommended ages 3-7 it’s definitely more preschool level in terms of size)

I visited here with my my youngest, Leo and my nephew, Harvey and my sister. I have since visited a few times again with my eldest too (7 at the time), and he did enjoy it but only because he was entertaining Leo I think).

I liked that no matter where they were playing, you could see them and they were easy to get to if needed.

It included some sensory play elements, a small ball pit with some large foam blocks to play with, a larger ball pit, areas to climb through, and a wavy duo slide.

They could independently play and climb it all too which is great considering they were 16 months and 23 months old at the time of visit. Of course we did join in playing with them at times, but it’s nice to sit and have a catch up and a cuppa with my sister too whilst being able to keep a close eye on them. It definitely tired them out enough as they were both asleep on the way home!😴

They are usually open 10am-4pm but they close to the general public when there is a birthday party as it’s only a small venue, so check their Facebook Page or contact them prior to visiting to make sure it’s open. 🔗 https://www.facebook.com/ArcadiaGardenCentre

We had a browse around the Christmas shop too. The Christmas Shop is amazing with so many different styles set up for inspiration and things to buy and treat yourself. There was pretend reindeer, polar bears lots of twinkly lights, little decorated houses etc for the kids to look at and interactive with which great to get in the festive mood. The garden centre is a great place to visit all year round and they really pay attention to their displays.

There’s also an outdoor play area including a small sand pit, dinosaur sculptures dotted around, a pottery painting shed and a separate onsite restaurant with a wider range on the menu including afternoon tea. I will be writing a blog on another visit for this shortly and will update the link on here.
