Firstly, I honestly cannot recommend Sarah enough. It is so clear how passionate she is about her job and her teaching background and passion for music clearly comes through in each session.
I first got introduced to Sarah and Rhythm Time when Leo was 7 months old. After a few trial sessions he loved it! Especially the baby version of the Hokey Cokey this was very cute! Lots of smiles and swinging back and forth towards the other little ones and then lots of colourful disco lights for his eyes to move around and focus on. You can have a read more on this visit if you are looking at joining the baby session HERE
Due to a change in days we weren’t able to continue the sessions because of my work commitments, but we have recently returned as I had a one off change in work days and really wanted to go back with Leo. He got straight back into it, as confident as ever! Although the session was full to capacity, it didn’t feel too busy and nicely spaced out around the mats with a centre area for the little ones to dance on to the songs if they wanted to. I think Sarah has got the maximum number just right.
There was lots of movement and singing with different musical instruments and sensory toys handed out throughout to explore and play alongside the songs and with some guidance on what to do with them. It was perfect for Leo doesn’t like to sit still, he much prefers to bounce about or be doing something like bashing a drum! 🤣
All of the kids seemed totally comfortable too and didn’t feel shy or the need to take part in it all with the same movements, which is brilliant and exactly what it’s about! There were kids enjoying the musical instruments dancing around and then others sat on their parents laps taking it all on. Or some like Leo just doing their own thing at times and then joining in again.
Sarah continued with the singing and dancing and interacting with the kids really well to suit their personality. The songs are super catchy too, a few came back to me from the baby classes we went to when Leo was younger like ‘pop them in the basket, 123!’ I will often still sing this to get Leo to tidy up. It never gets old 😅
There was a giant parachute game for foam balls to be thrown on and for the kids at adults to lift the parachute so they fly high in the air. And then there was another cute hide and seek song that we all sang lifting the parachute up and down, whilst all of the kids ran underneath. A fair few loved this!
Oh and a big hit… most of the kids loved the bubbles at the end! 🫧 The best ending!!

I would definitely recommend giving it a go. Trial classes are available too. The class options include toddlers, babies and young babies.
Sarah currently runs classes in Norton, Wolviston and Darlington but please follow her social page Rhythm Time Stockton-on-Tees and Darlington for the current timetable. You can also book a trial session or block at https://www.rhythmtime.net/stockton-on-tees-darlington
YOUNG BABY CLASSES STARTING SOON-WHY NOT BOOK A TRIAL TO START YOUR LITTLE ONES RHYTHM TIME JOURNEY??
Sarah is also offering young baby classes from November 2024 for 0-6 month olds. These classes are similar to the toddler one I went to today, just with safer movements for babies and plenty of sensory elements. When they are young and starting to take in sounds and light more, it is a great time to introduce them to a class like this.
They will start getting used to what to expect and feel relaxed and excited. It gives them quality time with you where you can go weekly and both make new friends too. And it’s likely your baby and their new friends will then move up together when it’s time so this is lovely really 🤗
